I guess hard-hitting campaigns are the best way to deal with these issues.

Remember that 'tombstone' anti-Aids ad from the '80s? Certainly worked didn't it? Now in this country we're all softly-softly, and guess what - highest rate of teen STDs in Europe.

I think we could do with something like this.

Hmm... Nice dress, then nice arse sprang to mind. The first one made me laugh because it looks like a toy spider and that is coming from someone who hates spiders. The second one isn't so nice, but the man is a bit distracting. It is difficult to analise advertising from other countries as its effectiveness depends on culture, society, politics, language (visual and written) and humour.

I personally think that these would grab people's attention in this country, but I would question how successful they would be at conveying their message. I personally think that the tombstone ad from the eighties was extremely effective and very powerful at the time.

Totally agree Teen STD infections including HIV are now at there highest in the UK we did a campaign like that over here.

I can not remember the last time I saw an ad on TV highlighting the dangers of HIV or Aids.

They're wierd pics though aren't they. That top spider actually looks quite cuddly, like a bog old eight-legged labrador.
