£20k max budget

Hello

I need a car to do 25k a year in, max budget is £20k.

5 seats, practical with sat nav are my only pre-requisites. I’ve looked at:
BMW X1
Jeep renegade
Nissan qashqai
Vw golf
1 series
Mini Countryman

All suggestions welcome.... i currently have a c63 which has been replaced by a weekend toy so the merc needs to go and something relatively boring for a daily!

None of those do anything for me. I'd be looking at a 330D Xdrive. You should be able to pick up a three year old one with less than 40k miles for less than £20k. Eats up miles, very economical if you are light on the throttle and use eco mode but still has bags of performance if needed and to make a boring drive more interesting. It's such an easy car to drive. Great 8 speed transmission.

I assume you're main criteria are space & comfort, in which case my first recommendations are these, they're leftfield but all are worthy of serious consideration:

Infiniti Q70 Sport these are hard to find but well worth a look as you get so much car for your budget.
