Any news on this? Anyone have any idea as to how much it will cost?

Judging from previous recent threads on this car, it is still very much on, but details are still secret.

I'd like to hear some more about this car: it sounds very promising indeed. I'm not sold on its aesthetics, though (looks a little like a kit car in the photos I've seen). The figures that I've seen bandied about would tend to suggest that it could give the Carrera GT a good run for its money in terms of performance. (Although Ruf say that they want to pitch the car in between the Turbo and CGT.)

The car that was seen on the net, was our second prototype, (the first was lovingly called Godzilla and was a real beast)

This second mule is basically a work in progress, thats why it looks a bit kit car like.

I have seen what the car will look like and it is impressive,

all the best,

Thanks for the response.

I'm guessing that you can't, even loosely, discuss what kind of price you will be asking for the car?

We dont know at the moment, nothing like that has been finalized just yet.

I think it will be a bit more than a CGT.

That seems a more reasonble price than the magazines suggested, i.e. that it be pitched, and presumably priced, somewhere between the Turbo and the CGT.

Why did you settle on using the Turbo engine? (Presumably because you're so familiar with it?) Sorry to be asking so many questions.

I dont know any of the engine specs, really sorry.

But it should be similar to the 3.8 turbo engine we have, but this is all conjecture and assumptions on my part.

Is there anything else they could use to generate that amount of power?

This is probably nonsense, but the two alternatives that sprung to mind were the Cayenne's V8 and the CGT's V10 (which would be prohibitive in terms of cost).

Yep the v10 I can seeing being impractical. Whats the weight like on the v8?

Maybe a case of better the devil you know, especially with so many tuning parts available for the flat 6.
