Hi guy’s,
New to this place.... if possible could someone tell me if it’s feasible to put a hilux engine into a Navara....reason being the Navara engine has gone bang but all round is a great vehicle and I’ve just been given a hilux where the body looks like it’s been through a war zone yet the engine is sweet as a nut...both vehicles are 2.5l.....so instead of forking out a grand plus I thought put the engine out of that and into that.....or am I day dreaming.....cheers....

Day dreaming. Incompatible ECU's for a start. plus bell housing bolts, fuel lines, rad connections, and a million other small issues.

Possible but financially improbable due to the labour and fab needed

Another word of warning - it would be sensible to have your Navarra chassis checked before spending any money - they have been known to snap/bend between the cabin and the load bay.

Apologies if you already know this! smile

That £1k you might save would be swallowed up in no time with all sorts of purchases. Add to that the hassle and time, forget it.

I thought you'd bought 800 litres of paint and trying to get it home from B&Q smile
