Split in seat Mk1 fhc

Hi,perhaps one for Mark! Split has appeared in drivers L/h squab to centre cushion.Is there any temp repair I could attempt to stop further split or is a trimmers the only option?

Has the thread torn through the vinyl?

You could try to glue a piece of black vinyl behind both parts but realistically it needs to be re-sewn..
