I always hate when it is time change the clocks. I have six cars and changing the clocks is different in each of them. What a please t surprise when I went to change the time in the DB11.
It was already done. It changes automatically. How cool is that. Just one more thing to make me like the new DB11.

Agree why the heck don't car clocks change automatically, they have so many other gizmos why is this so difficult, Every year at this time of year I get in my car, plug in destination in satnav and think heck i'm late... then i realise its the clock ....

The only car I've owned which changed automatically was a Vauxhall Astra which I had in 2006, I'm amazed that more manufacturers haven't done this since.

My 2014MY V8VS changes itself. Can't remember if my old 2009 did too.

Only four cars myself, none change automatically - although to be fair, even the newest is 11 years old. And I only bother changing three anyway, since one of them has the clock positioned so badly I can't actually see it while I'm driving!

come off it you lot, it takes 10 seconds, four operations and only twice a year, and the magic of seeing the hands move on their own

Actually, the Vantage is the most annoying of the lot to do! I keep one of those things you're supposed to use to open memory card slots on tablets / phones on my keyring, purely so that I have something to adjust the Aston clock with.

I'd much rather we stayed on BST instead of swapping the clocks twice a year and descending into darkness halfway through the afternoon at this time of year.

Paperclip in the tool box specifically for altering the Vantage clock, but I counted the number of devices I had to alter in the house/garage/garden and it totalled 19, now who can remember which combination of buttons to press on the cooker, so lets average that out at 3 minutes a device....there's my 'extra hour' gone just changing bloody clocks. rolleyes

Yep, I somehow managed to mess up all the central heating settings while trying to alter the timer clock, had to dig the book out and reprogramme the timer!!

What Vantage have you got, the 2010 V12V only needs you to get to setup and its simple

In all of my German cars from the last 10(!) years it goes/went automatically (using a radio clock or GPS), but maybe that is a European thing?

In older Astons (<2012?) you indeed have to do it yourself. In the post 2008 cars it is not so difficult (using the menu) in older cars you must use a pen or so.

Guess what: overhere in EU they seriously consider to go back to one time again (either ST or DST, they will probably fight about what to choose for the coming 10 years).

2014 V8S and Jag F Pace both woke up early (or stayed up late) and changed their clocks themselves for me.

2006.

My Alfa allows me to change it by going into the settings - but that doesn't mean it's easy, at least not the first time you have to do it. For reasons I'll never understand, the only way to get to the 'settings' option is to press the trip button - then you get a number of options, one of which is settings.... Italian logic eh?

How does the vantage v8 automatically know to change the time when you turn it on? My other cars that also have gps, you still have to manually go in and change the time.

I think via the RDS radio signal, but I might be wrong.

The clocks in my V12V and Mk1 Focus RS stay on BST as they hibernate in the garage from end October Until April (at the earliest).

In the DB7 I need to have a pin type implement to insert in a hole in order to adjust the clock. Which I never have on me when I think about changing the clock so by the time I get around to it it is almost time to change the clock back again.

Had a weird conversation with the wife a few years back one October morning when she looked at the clock and said:

"Is that 8 am or 8 pm?" biggrin

Ah, you have a Mk 1 RS? It has been my second car, at 22, after my Integra Type-R! Loved both of them really, but the brutality of the turbo in the RS was cool. Of course I fitted a pop-off valve! biggrin

Here is a picture, it had Wolf double exhaust, Wolf springs, spacers, sports cats, questionable dark rear lights and stupid wheels, the previous owner changed them and sold the superbly beautiful OZs.

In hindsight, I would keep it original now, but hey, I was 22. I will not show you my Integra, it was the Fast & Furious times! biggrin
