Aviva Flexible Retirement Account
Discussion
Hi Chaps, I work for a large blue chip US tech company in the UK. As some background i have consolidated previous GPPP shares into a single SIPP and with some industry knowledge done fairly well over the last few years. I am early 40s and not averse to risk.
Anyway, Just started with the new employer and it comes with access to the Aviva FRA of the title. Looks like a semi decent SIPP, well apart from the website being a bit pants. I have the ability to buy UK equities, (FTSE & AIM) allegedly aswell as OEICs and ETFs and the likes. I hate the idea of the standard boring low growth "lifestyle" funds.
My question is does anyone else have access to this Aviva product? What do you think of costs? How do you go about buying shares directly. Between my contributions and my employers i add in circa £775/month. My thoughts were to buy 1 or 2 times a year with 6 monthly contributions?
I'd look for a mix of blue chip divvy payers (done well out of BT over the years) and growth shares. Most of them have been US previously but i'll start hunting on the FTSE now.
Any thoughts on Aviva or it's Flexible Retirement account
