Keep the Jeep or new PCP?
Discussion
Morning all
I have a dilemma and would really appreciate any helpful advice.
I have a 15 plate Jeep Renegade 1.6 Diesel Sport / 15000 on clock/30 per year tax
The final payment of the PCP is due next July and it will be £8000. 
I am trying to weigh up the most cost effective and reliable way to stay with a newish, large reliable vehicle.
Should I stick with my Jeep and finally own outright (no more monthly payments, but worry if something goes wrong…any reader experience of this???)
or start anew, with ‘trouble free motoring’
I have looked around for a new vehicle and the most likely match seems a Hyundai Kona -pre registered- 100 miles 18 plate.
Also 4 yr. warranty/MOT/Servicing/Tyres/ Etc. all thrown in, but it means paying in £160 pm for 48 months and stumping up a £3500 deposit, plus the inevitable balloon in another 4 years of £5k
Am I putting off the inevitable (actually buying a car) or do people have good experiences of PCP and just run with it?
I do like to change my car every few years, but I am so worried about something big going wrong with the Jeep and not being able to afford to put it right.
Finances stretched!
Other option is, a largish safe vehicle which will be reliable for £4/5k
Any ideas greatly appreciated
Thanks

I'd fund the Jeep with a loan/savings
Just worried about any big diesel bills which may be on the horizon...
However, I have always driven diesels.
Does the Tax on my Jeep remain at £30 pa?
thanks

I can't guarantee this advice, but it is my understanding that if it was registered pre-2017 then the tax price cannot change.Just worried about any big diesel bills which may be on the horizon...

Can you not extend the manufacturers warranty
I have done on my X3 .. cost about £40 per month I think .. includes breakdown/car hire .. piece of mind
Getting a new car doesn’t mean you will have trouble free motoring, you could still get a car that goes wrong
You’ve only done 5k a year in it .. so it’s not exactly an abused and worn out car

I was looking at a Jeep Renegade to use for work.
Decided against it because after each viewing of a potential candidate i found myself singing '..back once again for the renegade master..' for days after it. Drove me f

If anything surely that's a motivator to buy it and then add the words "the" & "master" to the back of it?Decided against it because after each viewing of a potential candidate i found myself singing '..back once again for the renegade master..' for days after it. Drove me f
