Now, I appreciate I'm not comparing apples with apples here but.....

Coming out of a lease car and going the purchase route, budget is £25k. Needs to be large estate, auto, diesel and quick enough. Must have electric seats and preferably a pano roof, and a decent stereo. I know I want the world on a stick, but these are the cars that I like the look of.

Bit of history, I've had a 2006 2.7tdi A6 Avant, 2008 535d MSport, and a 2014 520d MSport (both Touring) and currently in a D4 V90 (cheap on lease) which is the dullest car I've ever driven.

Anyone with recent experience of the F11 535d and/or the 2016 A6 Allroad, would be great to hear you.

I had the saloon version of the BMW on loan and it was a lovely car to drive. It was the 530d though but still very quick. Interior was a huge step up from the 3 series with buttons actually being visible instead of hidden down low.

Never driven the Allroad but didn't it have some pretty serious reliability issues?

The 535d is a good swift choice, another couple of options are these:

E350 AMG Night Edition Premium

V90 Not as powerful but a good alternative.

Also lookout for the BiTurbo A6 Avant. (sorry I'm not a fan of the Allroad)

Yeah, I liked the e350 night edition. Wife ruled it out as her father has one already!

Going to keep searching for the right 535d
