Flat battery and dancing wing mirrors

The battery has now started to become flat after just 5 days being idle.

Recently I've noticed that the wing mirrors are "dancing" (moving up/down in, and out) without any encouragement when I turn the ignition on. I haven't noticed if they do this without the key in.

A short somewhere?

Left the trickle charger on for the week.

Tried this morning and only just turning over .... then nothing.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

And yes, wing mirrors dancing again

I've had dancing mirrors before, defiantly due to power fluctuations. You battery is goosed mate. Bight the bullet and buy a new one.

I was worried that it could be worse that that needing hours to find where the power drain is

Possible that the symptoms are not linked? How old is the battery? If no sign of the cause of the charge draining through e.g interior light left on etc then check the battery. If it's more than 4 years old I'd dump it and get a new one anyway - chances are it will let you down as once it starts losing charge and you have to trickle charge you're on the slippery downward slope to nada in the voltage department.

As to the waggling wing mirrors if they are heated then maybe there's a loose connection that shorting with the feed to the servos?
