Looks Like my Rears will need replacing in the next 2 months. I have been pretty happy with the Michelin's fitted (18" wheels) but is there a better tyre for the car? Also I have the Pressure sensors on the wheels which display pressure on the on the Vehicle details display. I usually buy from Blackcircles and was wondering if the sensors need to be replaced at the same time.

Are they RFTs on the M240i? I recently switched to Eagle F1 Assymmetic 2s on my 340i - and the sensors don't need replacing.

My pal has a 240i and he's thoroughly enjoying the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti's he got from Camskill

Non-RFT; so if it's RFTs' you're wanting to stick with, they'd be no good

Camskill, IMO, have some of the best prices about, you just need to sort your own fitting etc

Michelins are non RFT, not sure you'll beat them on performance, sensors are in valves so don't need replacing. I'd also give a thumbs up for Camskill normally a bit cheaper than BC

The current tyres fitted are not RFT's.

Black Circles are owned by Michelin, so if you go with Michelin tyres you'll probably get the best price from there. I bought a full set of PS4's from there fitted for around £550, was a fairly painless exercise. Less said about the fitting job the local ATS did though, I've had to have all 4 refitted now due to slow punctures caused by not cleaning the rims properly.

I would replace the OEM Michelins - they are very tough to beat for performance, and the extra costs are usually balanced out by the extra life you get from them. Plus I've had far too many BMW's which displayed "interesting" handling characteristics with mis-matched tyres.

I think the Pilot SuperSports are hard to beat on the Mx35/40i to be honest.
Eagle Asymmetric 3 might be worth a look too.

My Experiences:

Original Pilot Supersports - excessive wear on outside edges, never great in the wet, and awful towards the end of their life.

Goodyear Eagle F1 AS3 - these seemed to make the car pull to the left quite noticeably, nothing amazing grip wise.

Pilot PS4 - Surprised and impressed by these considering they are not the raved about PS4s. Even with the rears now getting low on tread you can still use the throttle on a damp road without any drama.

Thanks for that. I haven't had a car with this level of power before and straight line wise it tends to feel a bit "wiggly" when using the throttle. I will check but if the originals are Pilot Supersports I might go to the Pilot Supersport 4.
The fronts are wearing pretty well so will probably last until spring.

Sticks.

I had this on my 235i with MPSSs. I changed to F1Asys and the problem was solved and the ride improved.

However, given how different they were I'd change all 4.

TPS weren't an issue. and my local indy was comparable with online once you added fitting etc.

Rides not a problem as the Car has the Adjustable suspension option. It's a lot less vertically jiggly in "comfort" mode

Mine didn't have that, 'vertically jiggly' it was. The Asys absorbed more of the small bumps, which is pretty well everywhere here.
