Hello...Im East Anglia way...can anyone point me in the direction of a person familiar with the watches rather than me sending it back to switzerland?

Pretty sure they don't go back to Switzerland(unless it's a perpetual calendar/minute reporter etc), they're repaired in London. Watchfinder service them now if you didn't want it going back via an AD.

The winder having unscrewed itself and water having got in, I sent mine to their service centre. It came back with the bracelet on the wrong way and losing 2 minutes a week. All for about £800. Go to an indie.

Low drag - they stuffed me before...it broke again about 15 years ago and i haven't worn it since!!

Seems like you thought it through before sending it off then! They didn't answer emails or give any indication of the return date and after much chasing I got it back two months later. In the meantime the old Monster did sterling service, and none of my Seikos (the first in 1968) has ever been serviced. Just the same, I like the Spitty chorine since the lime is so easy to read at night.
