A bit of background.

I've driven many, many cars circa 20,000 in the last 4 years.

I have a girlfriend who uses a wheelchair.

I own an MX5.

My last four cars have been bought sight unseen from the internet.

Sat in a hospital waiting room, my girlfriend worried about my back after putting a heavy electric wheelchair in the back of a berlingo for the umpteenth time, I reply that it's all okay and I have the situation in hand.

She thinks I've seen sense and ordered a wheelchair conversion, ramps, winch all a bit boring.

Me, search set less than 20 miles, budget, less than a grand.

A couple of minutes later I show her a picture of my recently sight unseen purchase. There may have been shouting.

A couple of days later, I present her with said purchase. More shouting, expletives and possibly a tear or two.

He's called Lloyd

I adore him, she hates him.

You've driven different 13 cars a day for the last 4 years?

Yes, some days more, some days less.

It's best not to ask.

The viewing. It went well.

The seller wasn't in. A phone call later, they were.
Should I inspect it, drive it? Nah, just pay the sale amount, sign a piece of paper and walk out of the house saying "i'll be back in a couple of days to collect it."
Note to self, take shoes off in other peoples homes.

Anyway, yes it's a TX2 with 328000 on the clock. It's wrapped which appears to be holding what's left of the rust together.

Some stuff works and some doesn't. I have no idea to be honest as there are lots of switches which I dare not press.
Brakes, I think it had some last around 2013.
Engine, apparently new around 50,000 miles ago.
Fuel, diesel and thirsty.
Radio, none.
Battery, goes dead after every run.

Still, after a quick search around the seats, I'm up £1.05, a couple of Indian music cd's,a cushion, a spare windscreen wiper and something which looks important engine wise in the boot. A spare what, i'm not entirely sure.
