My GT3 will be in having its recall work done so they're giving me a Cayman for the weekend. Hope that's OK?
Never driven the 718 so looking forward to see what all the fuss is about!
There’s a recall ?!

Great to meet you all yesterday. Great food at RHUG, great company and a great drive through some beautiful scenery. Digga demonstrated his car control skills too
Thanks for organising it Taffy, look forward to the next one!
Great day and nice to spend time with a great bunch of like minded Porsche enthusiasts. Great fun trying to keep up with Digga on some wonderful albeit wet moorland roads.
Thanks for organising it Taffy, look forward to the next one!
Look forward to the next meeting chosen by one of the others.

Thanks for organising that Taffy, it was a top few hours entertainment, glad I made the effort. Good driving, easy conversation and a damned fine burger! The cars must have made quite a site battering down those roads. Rob
Ditto. Its amazing how many of the world's wrongs can be righted by 5 middle aged blokes in North Wales over a bit of BisonTaffy66 said:

Great to meet up with everyone and get each other's names wrong.
A most enjoyable way to idle away a damp November Saturday. Once again, thanks Taffy66 for organising.
When we stopped, mid route, and I switched from front to back of the group, it was an epic view of the cars (a very nice mix we had) making their way along the tarmac as it snaked through the hills. I am sure it is easier somehow, perhaps in terms of lines of sight, to lead, rather than follow, if you're all driving sensibly that is (i.e. not blindly following the car in front).

Great driving by all on Saturday and very sensible due to the damp roads..Your MPSCs and my Dunlop MRs were on the limit taking into account the wet roads,,

Nick's 991,2GT3 on MPS4Ss were a revelation in the wet and should be the winter tyre for all Porsche GT cars if you intend to use them.
I agree on the need to keep a sensible distance to the car in front as we did, as it allowed everybody to drive at a pace they felt comfortable with.

Shame to have missed this too - was in that neck of the woods with a mate the day before doing the evo triangle, Llanberis pass and lots of other roads ... ended up in the Brecon Beacons doing the Black Mountain Pass on the Saturday via Elan Valley ! Approx 450 miles across 2 days - what a great trip

Yes, you are absolutely correct. There's a pretty compelling argument for switching to PS4s if you are going to keep driving year round.Nick's 991,2GT3 on MPS4Ss were a revelation in the wet and should be the winter tyre for all Porsche GT cars if you intend to use them.
Given that although a bit wet, it was not too cold on Saturday, the PS2Cs were 'okay', but drop the temperature just a few degrees and we all know the difference would be very marked. I watched the external temperature all day because with the wind and varying altitudes, it can drop swiftly up in the hills, but it was 8 to 12 deg. C all day. Drop below 5 and I guess the more track-focused rubber would be completely out of its operating zone.
