Just driven this on hols for first time, suprised by how many bikers from UK and Europe were out playing on it. It's a fabulous route with some hilariously tight hairpin and blind bends.
Who's done it on their own bike or perhaps hired one in Majorca? I'd love to go back and do it on bike.
Followed a locally plated Ducati and the rider who was very confident /very quick was knee down at every opportunity. He was obviously enjoying himself tremendously

I'm pretty confident I will have driven it on more than one occasion (parents have a place in Port de Pollenca) but the furthest I've gone while over there was a hired Kawasaki KLX 250F for a day to tool around on.

Did you hire a bike there or ride over on your own?

I'd like to ride over there at some point but we've nowhere to keep the bike really and with the cost of the ferry from Barcelona, it just makes more sense to fly.

I know there's a company near Palma that have a fleet of interesting bikes and they do guided tours (as well as straight bike hire) around the island...I'll see if I can find the link.

ETA: It was Albion Motorcycles http://www.albionmotorcycles.com/ and they're closing down unfortunately...

No I was in a hire car (Abarth 595 with paddle shift) which was just about acceptable and useful on the tight roads. We did San Elm / Andratx sort of area to Soller and the Sa Colobra route and then soller to pollenca area.
I was astonished by how many bikes out as opposed to fast cars you see and now considering a bike hire next time.

Driven it many times, run along some of it once, and cycled it a few (boohiss?). Seen many a scooter losing it as well. Never ridden it on bike.

Used to have a place on the outskirts of Port de Pollenca.

Beautiful road, beautiful tarmac, beautiful views.

Very busy during the summer as it is a tourist route.

Yes I can imagine it being a mare in summer with traffic and heat. We also got to Cap de Formentor early in the day and were 2nd car to park up with a free run up to it which was cool. Once a few cars arrived the parking shenanigans commenced and it got a bit daft.

I rode it 2 years ago on a hired Moto Guzzi V7. Picked it up and did 9 hours riding on my own (family holiday I sneaked). Had a fabulous day going from one end of the north side to the other.

Cycled it a couple of times. The paddle shift 595 is always the car I wish i was in when I am there. Where did you rent it from? In bike terms, I'd say its a super-motard route, rather than sports bike. You see large groups of them in the evenings blatting into Deia. Love the place.

Yes it looks a bit unwieldy for a sports bike perhaps and very tight n twisty.

The 595 Abarth was from Europcar at Palma airport £211 for the week with 50 quid of extra cdw included to cover me all booked via Argus hire. They had 3 of them in the airport rental section. Was pretty much perfect for that road when used in manual and sports mode. Auto was a bit sluggish to change or changed up too early.
