M1s in Brussels.

As my trip to Italy was a bit of a waste of time ,I decided I definitely wanted to see the

"40 years of the BMW M1" at Autoworld museum in Brussels ,on my way home.

I got lost as usual in the outskirts of the city but got it right quite quickly.

Nice! The Procars are quite often part of the Nurburgring Oldtimer GP, they're awesome.

I even took pics of the models n stuff in the cabinet.































The rather grand building that houses a car museum.

And then I got lost trying to exit the city again.....

Do you know how long the M1 display is on for?

M1 display finished on the 4th.

A different one starts on the 10th and a 70 years of Porsche goes December over the new year.

How was Italy a lost cause?

We are heading there for the Milano Classic and have museums and factory tours lined up.

I checked the website for the military museum and it was closed the day I was there.
Shame as I had loads of time available.

I missed the weekend I intended in Italy as the previously ultra reliable FIAT broke its throttle cable in Austria on the way.
I had to waste 3 days there till it was fixed,drove down to Italy anyway and had to come home after having just 1 full day there.
Took some nice pics on the way back to Austria.

I will never tire of the drive through the Dolomites.

The Art cars was more than a couple of years ago ,as I went too.

It was 2012 ,whilst the Olympics were on ,just down the road.

Amazing to think that these had to be heavily discounted as they could'nt sell them when new. Stunning cars and highly useable.

I had a Corgi (?) model of the BASF car, probably stil in my parents' loft. I loved it and, when I used to compete in a red Mk1 Golf I really thought about trying to recreate the BASF livery. I still regret not doing it.
