New shed....my first Korean dictator motorcade car

I've been commuting in a 53 plate Clio for the last 6 months which has been akin to flying a biscuit tin at twenty thousand feet with the lid off. So recentlly I have been keeping a close eye on Facebook marketplace for anything a bit bigger , petrol, not moon mileage and not for sale in Bradford. You have to act quick when a goodun crops up.
So, this came up yesterday.
It is a mighty Kia Magentis LE. 2.0 petrol, manual. Mot til June. 46k miles!!! £600....bargain I thought.
Paint work is spot on, all tyres are good, interior is mint with plush velour seats. Spec includes manual a/c, electric windows and mirrors all round, central locking (but not remote) and that's about it.
Only problems are the driver's door wont open if you lock/unblock it. Takes much pissing about jiggling the key in the lock to free off. Apparently a common issue on these. And no remote locking is a proper bind too.
And the airbag light is on. When I viewed and bought it the light stayed on for a minute but did go out so thought I'd get away with it, on all the time now though
Anyway, nothing a bit of tinkering won't sort. And onlihnt be able to retro fit a remote central locking actuator.
It's a weird thing really, it has zero aesthetic appeal but is really very comfortable and refined to drive. And it seems to be in time warp condition. Anyway, how many Kia Magentiis have you seen, probably be none. That's because they're Uber exclusive obvs.

I almost went to look at one of these when shed hunting myself at start of year. I pulled up outside the guys house, saw the state of the car he was selling, got back in my car and left.
Buying my Toyota avensis has been one of my better car decisions, especially from a financial point of view, compared to what my previous car was costing to buy, run, insure etc... I am already in profit from a financial point of view. After 10 months my car owes me nothing. It's now free motoring.
Great feeling. I will park it anywhere, and generally don't care about the cosmetic condition. Long as it's still warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Happy days

Check the electrical connections at the base of the driver's seatbelt clip, the bottom of the bit you plug the belt into. dave_s13 said:

The "not for sale in Bradford" I can understand , especially because of what you've bought, but the acting quickly when a good 'un comes up........not so sure, I think you would've been ok for a while as I don't think the seller would've had a queue of perspective buyer's waiting!!So, this came up yesterday

For what you probably want though, who cares what it is as long as it's reliable.
