Found this advert on another forum, its supposed to be a CTR but it doesnt quite gel? A couple of things imediately spring to mind, its got turbo arches at the rear, are'nt all CTR's narrow bodied ? And the usual tell tale Ruf NACA ducts are missing from on top of the rear wings?
Anyway its still a stunning piece of kit but is it the real deal ?

I'm no Ruf expert.
It seems to me that it's unbadged. Does that not imply that it's not a Ruf-built car - but a car given to Ruf to convert to CTR spec. Not that it's a bad thing - just a question of determining the derivation. I would assume you can ask Ruf to verify it's parentage.
Does look the part - if ya like turbo's

A couple of people have asked about this car, sorry this is a copy and paste from an earlier email i wrote:
This is a ruf car, and i showed this to mr ruf 2 months ago. And he
didnt know it until we did some detective work...
this car has some seriously colourful history. If you notice this car
is actually a widebody. But
there were no CTR's built by ruf in widebody(except one for japan, widebody goes against the whole principle of the ctr concept)
Anyway this car still has a ruf vin number, and is number 18.
Originally this car was a beautiful sky blue colour and was sold to
french gentleman. Who unsurprisingly smashed it to bits on an autoroute. It was then bought by
this owner who thought it would be a good idea to repaint it black,
put some non ruf parts on it and make it a widebody....absolute
travesty in my opinion. This was not restored at RUF, RUF was not even aware that the car had been totalled.
To bring it back would cost, a lot of money.
Its a real shame imho.

I asked Adam about this car a while ago. If it had been a genuine CTR in Black it would already be in my garage
I too had noticed the wide-body which was what made me immediately think it was 'not right'.
Auto-Salon Singen is an amazing showroom (I visited 2 yrs ago), but most of the cars on their website are not on their premises, but are SOR adverts.
The dealer is Kosher (well, not literally, although never asked them)
but this looks like it could be a genuine RUF. The main RUF site (www.ruf-automobile.de/english/index1.htm) has some examples and the model at Auto-Salon-Singen looks pretty good.
The guys (and gals) at Auto-Salon-Singen are ok. They're the real deal. Fahrzeugschein and Fahrzeugbrief will have all the previous details etc. if you're still worried.

Probably not when it was reimported from France (or any other foreign country) as Adam suggested; as the Fahrzeugbrief will only cover the German registration history.
The car was sold to a french gentelman but he did not register it in france. Back then france did not accept ruf as a manufacturer and thus would not allow french(RUF Vin) owners to register their cars.
