Boot Soft Close Mechanism Fault

Anyone had any problems with the boot soft-close mechanism on a Vanquish not working? The boot shuts partly and can be locked, but it doesn't 'suck' into a closed position any more. I've tried locking/unlocking/boot open/shut etc. etc. but no joy. Any other tricks to suggest before it goes back to the dealer?

Is that feature only on the Vanquish? I have to slam the boot pretty hard to get it to shut properly on the Vantage... it needs to be sucked in

Open the boot on both Rapide or Vanquish , using a pen just close the latch over very slowly ( first click) , and quickly remove the pen shaft and let the soft close pull the latch in tight. Doing this sometimes resets the latch and soft close motor and brings them back into sync. Press the boot open switch and now try closing the boot to see if it operates correctly. Hope this helps someone. X
