Just discovered something on my 2005 megane 225 while changing the gearbox. I think someone has put the dump valve on wrong?
Car originally has a closed loop recirculation valve, a vacuum pipe comes off this recirculation valve.
On my car, a dump valve (bov) has been fitted, but the vacuum pipe from this dump valve goes directly to the original recirculation valve???
I've now found out recirc valve should have been blocked off, what effect would this have been having on the car if any over the 6 months i've had it? Thanks.

Your description is not specific enough.

Pictures may help. And by blocked off...which part is blocked off and how ?

There's nothing blocked off as is. Someone has basically fitted an aftermarker dump valve to this car and not removed the original recirc valve, then they should have fitted a blanking plate where the original recirc valve was, but they haven't!
So i've been driving a car with two valves on it for the turbo! :-/
