Land Cruiser instead of FFRR or X5?
Discussion
I want to get a 4X4 for run of the mill stuff and after owning plenty of Range Rovers and a 2004 X5 a few years ago, i've just started looking at Land Cruisers (120 series I think).
Originally i'd never look at them as i'm a massive Land Rover fan boy but after being bitten on a couple of older models, i'm not sure I want to go back to them.
I have a 17 plate Grand Cherokee and a 17 plate FFRR which also doesn't help as I don't particularly like the idea of owning the same car but much older. (these aren't available at my disposal so need a car which is 100% just for me).
I came across this one but as I have no idea about them, I thought i'd ask on here.

Looks good to me but that doesn't really say much.

I quite like the LC's, a bit fugly looking. But maybe not in a bad way.
I know they have a reputation, but like all things man made and mechanical/electrical. They can still go wrong. And certainly aren't infallible.

What about a Jeep Grand Cherokee they're robust & last well you'll get a good one with sensible miles for sensible money:

Persevere with your quest for a good LC120 . They are out there.
I did a lot of miles in one and other than services, tyres, etc. It never missed a beat.
I only do about 40 miles a day so not really sure a diesel is warranted. Petrol ones are scarce, even more so lpg ones. I did a lot of miles in one and other than services, tyres, etc. It never missed a beat.
