Well my Fiesta ST now has over 50k on clocks (53,500 to be exact) and the last 10,000 has been tough on the poor girl. I've had a few big road trips, the best ones being a long weekend in the Lake district, an 800 mile round trip for me, and a 1500 mile week around Scotland. A picture below...

The car was great for the Scotland trip. It took all our camping stuff with ease, it was amazing fun on some of those Scottish B-roads and was easy to overtake tourists who had no idea how to drive.

I also did some time on track at the Silverstone Sunday Service. A fantastic event that was great fun. The car didn't miss a beat and surprised me at just how capable it is on track and able to play with much more serious cars...maybe this was because it was wet...

Sorry to waffle on a bit but to sum up, I still love the car and it has wanted nothing more than regular servicing, the odd brake pad and tyre over the 40,000 miles I've done it. My plans are to keep for another 6 months/year and maybe give it a cheeky remap soon to spice it up a bit. If you're after a fun car that's reliable and economical then I would recommend!

Really interesting to hear someone having done such mileage!

I had mine for less than 3 months / 3,000 miles as I just couldn't live with the ride. Good effort.

Yeah the ride is...questionable at best. I almost sold too for that reason. But in the end, I got used to it.

4y 9m with mine and 45k km clocked up last night
I still love driving it
It's got a pending recall on it for a pipe that could crack, risking liquid leaking on to the engine, which I'll get done when it goes in for thw winter wheel/tyre swap. Other than that, no issues at all. smile

The ST will go in the new year though as I've a teen learning to drive, and I can't see the alloys lasting long as / when ....

Similar mileage to mine, mines mountuned and thinking of going CP2. Ace cars which are so good out of the box, just shame they are suffer from so many thefts.

Would be interested to see whether anyone on here is running much bigger mileages?

It's supposed to make quite a difference particularly in 1st and 2nd where the torque is limited and raises the rev limit. Quite looking forward to getting the ITG induction kit fitted too

70,000 mile update:

Well, It's almost up to 70,000 miles and still going very well.

Places its been since last time:

Another 2 trips up to Scotland to visit the girlfriend's family. It took that all in it's stride and was good fun driving cross country through the borders, even encountering a bit of snow. Had to be careful though as the I had 24 bottles of prosecco in the boot....

It made the annual trip to Le Mans in June. That was great fun, the weather was amazing for both journeys and it made a suprisingly good mile muncher on smooth French autoroutes. The trip back to Calais was interesting; when coming out of Le Mans I took the wrong turning and ended up adding 30 mins to our arrival time meaning we'd have 2 mins to spare to catch the ferry. Queue driving at *130kph +10% ish* for 4 hours straight to catch the ferry, which we made. It even managed 38mpg on this trip, despite being fully loaded and driving at quite a pace.

Made some pals on the drive down:

Parked on one of the Mulsanne Straight chicanes:

And on the start of the Porsche Curves:

The time with fiesta is almost up I think, I have bought an old MX5 as a fun car and need to free up a bit of cash for a first house purchase. I'm thinking a nice 6 pot 3 series will do the trick, especially if it's got cruise control!!! It's been great and very reliable, Only changed discs, pads, oil and tyres in the time i've had it.

Recommended!

You've added 20k miles in the time I added 10k km to mine!
laugh

Mine is still in the house. Daughter has been learning to drive in it.
We will keep it as it's
A) low mileage
B) problem free
C) we know it's history
I suspect my daughter will take it to Uni in September
