How much for a rolling chassis do you reckon?
Discussion
So long story short, I am getting relocated abroad with work for the next couple of years and I can't take the Chim.. So while I'm gone, I'm plotting a cunning plan to turn the car into what I've always dreamed of having... On my bugbear list for a long time has been my outriggers; they were replaced a couple of years ago, but the guy who did it did a half arsed job, and didn't fully close the weld as he didn't lift the body high enough. The error was caught soon after by another garage and the hole plugged, so the chassis didn't get moisture inside but this has always bugged me a little. I want to keep the car for life so I was planning to do a body off at some point and replace a few bits, and now seems like it may be a good time to do it.
So what I'm currently thinking is going for a Sportmotive Evo chassis with all the bits, wishbones, hubs, wheels, steering rack but keeping my RV8 (it sounds awesome and is definitely fast enough for the time being..) To bring the handling of the car up to hopefully more modern standards to match the power the blown rv8 is chucking out. If I did this, I'd essentially be replacing the whole rolling chassis with new, which is quite a big piece of work, but maybe splits the work up a bit more cleanly. What I have is all in decent condition so I'm just wondering what you lot think it might be worth to put towards the refurb and ultimately contribute to the man maths...
It would essentally be the whole chassis, with willwood 4 pots, nitron shocks, power steering rack, hubs, wishbones, sp12 wheels, tyres and possibly some other bits. Any ideas what that might be worth??
Thanks
Also, has anyone else got experiences of the evo setup that they'd be willing to share? I've done a bit of research so far and it seems to be a well engineered solution but happy to hear any more feedback positive or negative.

Wow, well I assume you’ve looked at Sportmotive prices so I was hoping you could tell us the cost
Having seen the rolling chassis at the Griff Griwl on a few occasions it looks like a great bit of kit and a def upgrade!
Becomes very one off but should address some geo/ handling traits.
There must be a few Sportmotive Chassis owners who would be happy to show you and maybe drive you around in one, owners perspective etc.

Haha no I know the cost of the new one, and it is shall we say a robust number.. hence it would be good to know what I could get to get roughly for my old setup to make it a little less sobering...

If you mean selling on the old chassis plus running gear then next to nothing.
The chassis, and all the other bits, would still need to be refurbed before use so for the next owner this would be no different from refurbing their own so would gain no value from buying yours.
Parts like wheels and dampers may have a market if someone is looking for a particular brand or replacement for damaged.
