Hi all.
Quick question.
How does one know if I have a long or short starter motor currently fitted please? (as per TVR parts web site designations)
I am in need of a replacement.... :-(

only real way is to measure it ,although if it is a newer car they are usually the long one, bit i would put a long one on it anyway as they are more powerful

Thankyou ninetynine.
I wasn't sure if they could be each fitted without potential interference with surrounding ancillaries.
Will take your advice!

Just checked and mine is a 16cm 'short' motor.
It has two studs though, that the 18cm version does not.
These studs look to be used to mount the airbox support bracket.
How do people mount the airbox bracket where they have the 18cm starter with no studs please?
(I'd prefer the higher power AND cheaper 18cm version to replace mine)
Many thanks in advance
