Hi,

just wondered if any of you have suffered from the prop shaft coming away from rear diff issue on Cayenne 2012 4.8 turbo model. Would appreciate any advise as have been quoted over £3500 from my local OPC and feel this shouldnt really happen as it only has 50k on the clock and has never been driven off road.
Thanks

Did u notice any vibration before it happened?
usually a sign of whats to come .........there s a bearing that can be replaced for very little money if u spot it ......sorry to say if its all come off may be beyond that ..............u can guess how i know .......at about 70k miles

thanks for reply - no vibration - just a lack of drive and then obviously it was just coasting.

cheers anyway

Centre bearing failure was only an issue generally on E1 / 9PA Cayenne; OP's is E2 / 92A - the rear diff connection on E1 is bolted; on E2 it's a circlip retained joint......
