I’m in what’s deemed a bizarre position.

I’m looking for a comfort seat spec. 991.2 GT3. Why ? It will be my daily covering 7-8000 p.a and on recent PEC day in GT4 comfort seats , found them fully adequate for track use.

My question is - what value do you think a comfort seat spec would be (reasonably) less than bucket or CS version? In my mind it’s £5k, due to likely demand but can’t validate that.

This is not depreciation question just a spec value question. With this mileage I will lose re depreciation, that element is accepted and normal to me.

Plus if you have a comfort spec coming for sale, PM me

Thanks

The car will have a list price, just pay the same overs you are happy to pay.

That does mean it will be cheaper as Buckets add more to the list price.
I do think resale you are hit harder as 2nd hand non bucket seated GT cars hang abut.

My .1 was comfort spec and my .2 is a fixed bucket CS.. If anything I find the .2 more comfy and to add, my .1 had the 18 way comforts. So, think carefully, buddy, the normal seats will not be more usable for everyone.

I’ve had buckets before (997 GT3), they weren’t suitable for daily. Plus I need to be able to fold sears and no cage in rear.
Thanks for replies

Yes, of course. I thought our buddy just did not want buckets end of and wanted the comfy’s. The one thing that cheeses me off with CS and fixed is that It’s more awkward when using my beloved Dyson handheld. Getting to that last bit of debris becomes a proper FWP..hehe

That’s the spec, forgot about folding buckets !
I best go Unicorn searching!

On this basis the folding buckets are worth more than £5k to comfort to me. As long as no cage.

It is fun looking everyday to see if new car listed, well for a while anyway !
Thank you

I was in Reading OPC this morning and they had a very nice looking GT silver with manual and comfort seats sat in the showroom.

Yes spotted that too. It’s a bit pricey for spec and mileage but on watch list. I’ll but in 15,000 miles, no leather dash but otherwise good spec for me
Thanks

remember you can take the cage out, so don't rule it out and it might be more sort after later.

I was thinking about removing mine.

That will make finding a car easier, buy a club sport with heated folding buckets and take out the cage until its time to sell, job done!

The harnesses can be removed though it means you have to take the seats out to do it...but if you’re taking the cage out you’d be doing that anyway.

Cars come from factory with harnesses and fire extinguisher in boxes. Fitted at OPC

yes, my harness is still in it's box as is the fire extinguisher which I never ordered or paid for but they sent me a one and a full fitting kit !

when new every thing just comes in the front in boxes.

There is unfortunately a lot of misinformation on here.
Read the ads carefully that will allow you to determine the price difference between a car with comfort and uncomfortable wink seats .
People on here will disagree but I was told categorically by the 2 opcs I deal with and one of the biggest Indy sellers of gt3s that they value the difference of car with buckets vs non buckets at maybe at most a 3k difference from their buying perspective but bear in mind they will add margin on that ,so I would guess on 2 identical cars a car with buckets would have a sales value of around an extra 4K.
In terms of selling over the years I have found relationships matter more than spec .

I like comfort plus folding buckets for daily use. Best of both worlds. And imagine the performance benefits from ditching all the weight of the cage and reducing centre of gravity - it's the equivalent of Weissach Pack on the RS wink
