“Snell SA2005 will no longer be eligible for use at any Motorsport UK or FIA sanctioned events”.
Just had an email with this info in it. Not too concerned as I only do trackdays and no one has ever asked to see my lid. Plus it’s the gold British motorsport sticker that’s needed right?
Still mildly annoying though, as I’m sure pretty sure that’s the standard my Arai was built to and it’s only a couple of years old.
What’s the new standard to look out for?

Snell SA2005 is a "Special Application Helmets" certification from 2005. In regards to Arai it was used for their car racing helmets I believe.
There there are now newer SA2010 and SA2015 certifications and the FIA etc are wanting you to only use these newer helmets.
All the the motorcycle helmets should have been under MC2005/2010/2015 certifications instead.
