I use a Mac Mini as a media hub, so I use it to watch films and play music etc. My TV expired recently so I am looking to buy a new screen for it. I want a 65” as I also use it for web browsing and need a big screen.

I was looking at a 65 inch TV at £600, but just wondering if it is possible to get a monitor at this size instead, as I don’t need speakers or any ’smart’ features at all, just a screen…Does anyone have any experience of this?

Thanks in advance.

I think economies of scale will mean a TV would be cheaper.

I use a 65" LG OLED as the display for my Mac Mini (as well as using it as my TV).

Thanks, I think I will get a 65 inch TV then. I am amazed I can get a Toshiba for £600, my first flatscreen back in 2006 was more than that and it was a 32"!

Madness isn’t it. My first plasma, a 42” Panasonic was £2.5k.

I have a mac mini that I use as a media centre, attached to a 1080p projector. Works brilliantly.

32” hitachi, I think it was 3k back in the day. Felt so space aged back then.
