Maybe I'm being picky but I'd like to replace the 3 metal valve-caps that the little shi@s in my street have nicked. Why they left 1 I've no idea.
Anybody know where I can get them?

I have three! I think they got me first, disturbed and moved onto yours.

Facotry will get you some I am sure. Give Bob a call.

Frustrating isn't it, you would not think such a small item would naff you off this much, but it does.

It is so annoying isn't it. I used to get them nicked off the MR2 all the time. Having spent £7 on a set that disappeared overnight on the first night I went for plastic.
Halfords used to do a reasonably cheap (don't get the ripspeed ones) set if they are likely to go again.
Rob.

Never even looked at mine.

Was thinking the other day about locking wheel nuts. Any pointers on these. I never really leave the car anywhere dodgy but it would be costly if some pikeys knicked my rims. Can I fit locking nuts?

Paul, whats the deal with locking valve caps? Are yours solid gold or something?

Mines have been nicked but haven't bothered putting more on.

They do look good but I won't give the little scumbags any satisfaction of stealing them again.

You can get these

www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Anti_Theft_Valve_Caps.html

or these

www.speeding.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000123.pl?REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2espeeding%2eco%2euk%2facatalog%2fAnti_Theft_Valve_Caps%2ehtml&WD=valve%20caps&SHOP=%20&PREVQUERY=SS%3dvalve%2bcaps%26PR%3d%2d1%26TB%3dA%26SHOP%3d%20&PN=Vale_Caps_By_Urban_X_%2ehtml%23a184#a184

The "with spanner" ones enable you to put them on so tight that they can't get them off by hand. The "Spinning Anti Theft Caps" ones are new - not seen them before.

The "spanner" ones are available at any Halfords store worth it salt. I lost 3 in 2 months on the M12, and never lost a "spanner" one in 2+ years.

Doesn't it drive you nuts having to get a screw driver/spanner out to check pressures? Plastic are the future!
