Is that plate legal
Discussion
Woo hoo ...recognition at last....
Plate is not strictly legal, in fact quite illegal, but having had it on the car for 2 months now and passed numerous traffic police cars (one upstanding member of the force even walked up to it, smiled and got back in his car!)
It is a "show plate" from www.malplates.co.uk on-line ordering and cost 8 squid. I went for a 11" x 3", which just covered the original bodywork holes. Still keep the original, but until shit happens, it'll stay on. It has also helped to reduce the running temp by about 4-5 degrees at around 70mph, so a win win situation.
Don't think I have seen you, I'll have to make sure I keep a look out over the next week or so.

I too have a small one and asked the question about legality on Speeding & Plod, heres the results:

I think I'll carry on with mine until its pointed out, as someone else said usually the police are behind you and unless they're going to pull you over for something else they shouldn't notice.
