Replacement Keys - Supply Issues.

I ordered a replacement key for the Cayenne around a month ago. The OPC called me the day before I was due to go in and have the coding completed to say it hadn't arrived.
Fast forward 2-3 days and they then say there is a problem with the supply from Germany.
Chased my OPC again this morning and still no word from Germany. Apparently they are looking to provide an update in week 51.
According to the OPC there is problem with quality control on the new keys and that's what the hold up is.
Has anyone else heard of this at all? It's all rather strange.
