Rapide AMR

Any people on here also lucky enough to be waiting for a Rapide AMR? I’ve found myself fortunate enough to be on the list and realise my dream of speccing and owning my first new Aston (after being the proud guardian of a used DB9 a decade or so ago). I’ve been told to expect delivery before Christmas and saw the shell of my car in the flesh at the factory 10 days ago, fascinated to hear if anyone has taken delivery yet and also what spec other buyers have gone with? N.b. I’ve gone for Scintilla Silver with china grey stripe ...and of course the one-77 steering wheel :-)

It's been very quiet on the Rapide AMR front. I was fortunate to drive a prototype a few months ago, but to my knowledge the driving impressions embargo either has yet to be lifted, or the regular sources of test drive reviews simply didn't have a go in one so little has been said about it. I'd never driven a Rapide before, so had no idea what to expect. I came away quite a fan of the Rapide

I am from germany and also waiting for my AMR. I went for all black. No stripes from the factory but i will add some red accents by my local dealer.

I also was very late with my order but astonishingly it was no problem to get one...

The AMR should be delivered before christmas

Indeed these cars will be the last of the NA V12 production cars. Spotted one of the attached on my factory visit....not many left in stock! 308kg of raw power. After seeing one in the flesh quite amazed they found a way to sensibly fit these into the old Vantage!

Hi - I’d been told to expect deliver before Xmas and still waiting, my car is off production line and had some minor snagging issues before Xmas that they wanted to fix which got it held up as factory shut for the holidays. Hoping to get the car by this weekend but TBC. Get the impression that my car is towards the front of the queue but they’ve definitely already started delivering a few. Hopefully yours is not far away :-)

I saw my first AMR Rapide today - PDI in my dealer.

WOW!!!!!! You guys are very lucky - it blew me away with how nice it is.

Made a Zagato level of impression on me, and in that respect it looks like you have scooped up a bargain!

Thanks AdamV12V. Mine actually arrived yesterday, with a car like this where one has only seen the concept car and taken a view on the colour and spec based purely on the brochure ...there is always some trepidation about how it will look in the flesh! Fortunately I’m already in love with mine and super happy with the colour and spec, feels like the ultimate evolution of the Rapide and a car that could be quite timeless. Plus I do feel like it is good value for a limited edition (1 of 210) at less than the list price of a DBSS! Very happy guardian of these wheels and great to be back in the AM owners family after a 10yr absence :-)

Would love to see photos of other deliveries from the forum and see the different colours/specs
