hi all,
id like some advice please. for a number of reasons I'm thinking about selling my cerb, mainly cos i bought it for extra seats, but i now no longer need them. Thats left me feeling a little like a need a fresh start, in a number of ways really, but also with the car. So, I'm thinking about a t350t/ t350c but I'm afraid i know little more than i like the way they look. in fact i don't even know the difference between the two (does the t stand for targa? thats my guess).
now, obviously id like a sagaris but as a few people have wisely pointed out, it might make better sense to see how they pan out for reliability and residuals for a while yet, so I'm thinking about a t350. and in second place a Tuscan, tho I'm 50/50 on the looks. the price for a T350 seems to be about 30k, the Tuscan 33k. with a trade in on my cerb i can afford either, but obviously less spent is more to spend on fizzy sweets and crisps.
as always Ive done a search, but I'm afraid i cant find anything of use, or that provides a definitive answer. id really appreciate any advice, pointers, recommendations, suggestions and information you could give me. it'd be a big help.
thanks in advance all.
best wishes,
Nerv.

Choices eh?
The way I look at it, if the T350C/T was the only car TVR made, it would be heralded as one of the best sports cars available, anywhere. You'd have no qualms in spending your dosh.
For this reason alone, don't feel you'll be cheating yourself if you don't get a Sagaris.
The new 350 looks the bollox.

Whatcha Nervy, Well i recon once you've driven a T350 you'll be sold they are really tight, with very precise handling, I believe the late 2003 onwards cars are better, although this will upset some ?
If you do change the T350 forum are in for a treat, as you were voted the funniest poster of all time, will you still visit the Cerbera forum ?

Who needs extra seats huh?
Come over to the Dark Side and get a Tuscan
// anyway if you havnt already i think you should take both the T350 and the Tuscan for a spin then make your decision, then comes the hard part? picking the colour? get something unique, Reflex? Chameleon? Cascade?

Hi Nerv,
If I were you I would get yourself a couple of test drives....
T350 and Sagaris...........both cracking TVRs
Your posts have made it clear that you felt you bought the wrong Cerb engine wise........
You don't really want to have regrets with the next purchase....especially if the Saggy is within reach and you could spec it exactly how you want it
We have friends who have had their T350 from new and are still as happy as when they first took delivery.....in fact, they are happier now because all the issues with the car have been sorted......
The Sagaris is just so
......I absolutely LOVE it.
It has all the thrills of the Cerb but feels so much more planted on the road.
It has a three year warranty.........
If our Sagaris is going to have issues...I'll get them sorted cos I am just sooooo thrilled with this TVR.
Good luck with your search........

..... YP I can only offer my point of view from the Tusc and T350. For me, the decision to stick with the Tuscan was down to how both cars feel and not simply the aesthetics. I love the styling of the T350, but I still think the un-cluttered bum on the Mk1 Tusc is one of the best looking (see pic in my profile).
While my Tuscan was away for fettling, I borrowed TMS's T350 for a couple of days (Thanks Jeremy).
To get a feel for what it was like on both road and track, I booked a couple of hours at Bruntingthorpe. Even though Brunters isn't the most demanding circuit, it's a wonderful thing to have the entire track to yourself.
Within half an hour I decided the shorter weelbase and slightly less 'leggy' feel of the T350 wasn't my cuppa, but I was grateful to have been given the opportunity to put the car in the situation where it matters.
So, in summing up M'Lud, I suggest you get yourself out for a few test drives and get an idea of what suits you.
Incidentally, I can't even contemplate a Sagaris on accound of I'd never get one down the drive!
By the way, the suffixes C and T are for Coupe and Targa
Hope you find the right partner.
Pete

Hi Matt ![]()
This is lobbs T350T it is the dogs

Go get one matey
Nerv, I personally fell for the looks of the T350. I considered a Tuscan but didn't want to wait until the Mk 2 came out and (rightly or wrongly) got the fear about S6 engine rebuild stories. I know there were similar stories about the T350 but they seemed to be less common.
Once I'd driven one I was sold. So I just had to decide whether I wanted wind in the (what's left of the) hair moments, and I did. So went for the Targa, and it's ace!
You'll get a good view of the rear of it at FB5K!

Don't do it, mate! Just swap the 6 for a 4.5 V8. ![]()
More pace, more noise and the same classic lines.
Susinctly put, Sir!
Nervy, don't be listening to these Sp6 Johnny come Lately Types! The Cerb is STILL the Daddy.
Anyway, what's wrong with your Semtex Six motor? Nothing!
hiya roo
