Thought it looked like it could be had for decent money if anyone interested.

The 993 might be worth a punt if dont mind the tip but previous MOT does flag oil leak

Manual GTS, 2WD, Black on Black....got to be a bit of a perfect spec, unicorn car ??

Tempted myself, but stuck abroad at the moment, mileage a non-issue, in fact, a benefit, as you won't be hit with the low mileage premium tax.

So whats good value £55k ??

I’d say 911r is pretty close.

Yep, my suggestion of £55k is frothy, but £40k would be a great buy (assuming its a sound car)

There are 37 997 GTS's listed on AT, of which 2 are 'manual - 2wd - coupes', lowest price one is, a retail sale of a white car with 26k miles, at £70k.

JZ have a white 48k miler, (lovely spec), for just over £60k (again man, coupe, 2wd)

I think R is pretty close with £40k....reckon that would be the trade bid. I'm amazed that it's found it's way to auction though....you'd think a dealer would take a punt on that.

Entered by Jardine motors mileage 67249 this car is as yet ungraded and no details on owners. Probably a part exchange.

Fairly basic spec no extended leather (placcy dash and doors), no chrono. Alcantara trim including steering wheel. Standard sports seats.

Mot 12.1.19.

Problem is only 3 service although these are OPCs apparently. Last serviced October 2016 at 52k. So 3 years without a service.

Cap clean is £40400.

Having regards to the missing history basic spec and on the basis the car is grade 3 minimum trade is £37500 on this car.

I still think it will fetch good money, 997.2 manual gts, rare, therefore 48-50k is my guess.

The car is at auction for a reason.

The vendor is a Porsche franchise (Jardine Motors Group) so there must be no business case for it being offered as an approved Porsche vehicle, which either means they paid overly strong money for it as a p/x to leverage a sale (ha!), or it needs too much spending on it to meet the approved standards, to still realise a profit.

im with you on this. i think it will be bought by an end user who still feels it might be a cheaper bet than buying privately.

Mileage too high car too old condition unknown as yet and the missing history prohibits it being retailed by Porsche.

Jardine sell alot of stock through BCA especially at this time of year.

Few private buyers willing to punt c£40k on cars like this atm in auctions especially without rev range report and missing history.

High indemnity cost could add another £1200 or so to price. Additional required servicing and work required plus refurb could add another £3k quite easily.

Car likely to be bought by independent specialist.

Cap is just a guide and for GT3s they are fairly irrelevant.

Trade would be mid to top £50s possibly slightly less with the non buckets.

.
Not so at all!

A 2 year Porsche warranty can be put on a 13 year old car which has covered up to 125k miles (at inception of the policy). Plenty of older vehicles on the approved website, and I've viewed two cars recently at OPC's that have 3 year gaps in their service histories.

If an OPC could make their usual margin on that car, they would. So, you have to ask yourself why they can't make their usual margin....
