Snappy title that...

Quick question - I'm looking a changing my car and getting a 428i... I've found one that looks nice, is a good spec, well priced etc but the dealer's had it in for around 3 months (I've been looking a while)...

I've dropped in and had a look round it and it looks great, but should alarm bells be ringing and should I be concerned if its been standing...

Thanks in advance

90 day stock is quite normal.
Out of stock of 40 odd cars, I currently have at least 10 which are overage, that a quarter of my stock, prices have been adjusted accordingly each month, but sometimes they just stick until it sells, and then you can guarantee you will get another enquiry on it the minute you put a sold sign in the window!

I would say a 28i isn’t the most sought after engine, the 4pot diesels will be the most sought, so maybe it’s just come on no ones radar whilst it’s been up for sale.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 428i on the roads.

This. People either want the 420d or 430d for economy/wafting, or want the 435/440i for a hoon. The 28i kind of falls through the cracks. If you like it get it, but be aware if it’s a good price then it will still continue losing money as it is not a popular model.
