I have 4 f22 diamond cut alloy wheels I know 1 is definitely missing the sensor and potentially one more.. Is is possible to find out if the sensors are missing without having to take the tire off the wheel or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and get them off? Part number 6850151.

Thanks.

Surely if you use i control and select vehicle status, it will show the pressures for all wheels that have a sensor. So those without will have no measured value.

Update - Either the fact one is missing means none of them will show or none of them have sensors....

It shouldn't. You should get pressure status for any wheel with a sensor and errors for any not reporting. Is it possible it's been disabled because of the missing sensors? Are you sure it has sensors? Some systems are "indirect" and work off discrepancies in rotation speeds based on ABS sensors. BMW used that pretty widely.

I think the fact (at least) one is missing is stopping it from doing a pressure check. I tried resetting the monitor today and it got to 49% and then came up with an error. The car definitely would of been produced with sensors, just not sure as to whether previous owner took them out to recoup some of money as they're 50 quid a pop.
