Normally that model can be purchased readily it’s not a model that’s massively in demand compared to the BLNR for example. May set you on the path though for the harder to source models should you feel inclined.
They didn’t USE to be hard to get and as said previously it’s NOTHING LIKE as hard to get as the BLNR but I don’t remember seeing ANY steel sports watches available from shop windows for a LONG LONG LONG time, Explorer 2, Airking, anything steel with a ceramic bezel no!

Can only echo what others have said, it's a lovely watch, the green on dial lifts it above a Submariner in my opinion, I don't see this as a second class watch to the sub. Only downside is that the bracelet is blingy - you may like it, or you can brush the centre links to a matt finish.
OP - you are not likely to to offered this watch by any other dealer, they are very much a 'waiting list' watch at present. As others have said, much less of a wait than a batman etc but probably 3-6 months wait in most dealers. It's trading at maybe £1000 over list on the grey market.
I picked mine up earlier this year after a 3 month wait (was told circa 6 months when I placed the deposit) and I love it. I like the polished centre links on the bracelet although I'm not sure the clasp needs the polished centre section - it obviously gets scratched to buggery!

Have to agree. When I bought mine I looked at subs side by side with the GMT, far preferred the GMT. I think people pick the subs not by appearance but by the fact they are considered the "classic" Rolex sports watch. I wouldn't;t describe the bracelet as blingy either. The GMT is a beautiful watch, I can see why some might think it visually more striking than a Submariner, and of course it has a great history in it's own right.
In terms of how it stacks-up against the Submariner, it has a slightly thinner case and the water resistance differential between the two won't matter for 99.99% of users, so it comes down to which function is more useful - GMT or ability to track elapsed time.
One big selling-point for the Submariner though is the Glidelock clasp - it offers much greater 'on the go' size-adjustment without tools than the GMT's Easylink clasp.

I have a black gmt I that I purchased in 2003. Back then most dealers had a wide range of models in stock so I tried pretty much everything on before settling for that watch. It has had more wrist time that any other watch. I was travelling for years and the convenience of jumping the hour hand to local time as the plane lands was just great. Accuracy was such that I only corrected the time twice a year when switching home time to DST and back. I love that watch.
It is a shame that, nowadays, you can’t try a few on to see how they wear for you. It’d be a hard watch not to like though imo and a low risk proposition worst case.
I’d say buy it but only if you like it, not because of the allure that it is in short supply.

Hi, guys,
Thinking of selling a couple of my Rolexs, Im not here to make ridiculous money on them as thats not my gig. Have a GMT 2 which was purchased end of August. Worn it numerous times when travelling around California. Have all receipts papers of proof and also both White and Green boxes. Was thinking of using Chrono 24 and also Ebay but was wondering if anyone on piston heads was searching for one. Never missed a beat as I have a watch winder with me when travelling.
Also considering selling a !989 Bi metal Submariner Black and Gold. I tend to only wear when going to dinner parties or meetings. Very rarely worn.
Unsure where else I could sell them???
Any help is great.
