Can i repair this myself? Audi TT Mk1
Discussion
Rear-ended a car this morning on the motorway at the tail end of a "pile up." Very angry with myself!
I'm concerned that A. insurance will write this off, B. I have a reasonably high excess and C. would rather not claim (insurance are notified for third party claim.)
Is this a DIY job? I'm reasonably handy and have changed bumpers/removed panels etc before.
Or am I being and idiot?
Bonnet is fine and straight/aligned, and car drives and feels fine. So it looks like wing, bumper/washer assembly, slam panel, headlight?
Anyway, thoughts are very gratefully appreciated

You’d be able to repair that yourself providing you can source parts in the correct colour and have the skills to fit/align them properly.
Thing is, even then you’re likely looking at a substantial cost for parts, more for paint (even if correct colour will likely need some work) and have no guarantee of a perfect paint match. On top, of the third party is claiming you’ve already lost your NCB - unless your excess is £1,500+ you might as well claim IMO
