Here's an interesting one...

Mkay, you've probably heard of google maps, much better than multimap etc. Includes satellite view of entire USA.

Now, if you:

- go to maps.google.com and search for Las Vegas
- zoom about 3/4 out
- see that big grey "unmapped" area? centre on that. (double click)
- click "satellite" in the corner to switch views.
- keep zooming in, try to find the thing that looks like a big white round golf bunker just north of an oval green hill.
- zoom right in between them

what do you see? yep, groom lake area 51!

Now, if you scroll around the map of US and find any of these "grey" unmapped bits you'll find other secret bunkers, comms sites, air bases etc.

Seems a bit silly to me.

"I know, lets not map anywhere of interest, lets just mark it in big grey chunks to tell everyone where best to attack us!!!"
