Morning Throat Gunk
Discussion
Quite often I wake up in the morning and my throat has mucus gunk in it - it's too low to blow out of my nose, and too high/thick to swallow. Whichever way I try to shift it it ends up triggering the vom reflex and I'm dry heaving for a while until it's moved enough that the reflex stops. It sometimes kicks in on my cycle commute which can't be very pleasant for the people in the houses I ride past.
Anyone experience similar?
Too thick mucus, is that a sign of dehydration, or maybe an allergy of some kind?

Has this recently come on? I have had a virus recently and had this for a few weeks post. Coughing up gunk and then wanting to vom. Kinda gets caught in the back of your throat. One night it was bad I felt like I was being water boarded in snot.

Possible sinus infection with mucus dripping down the back of your throat as you sleep.
Mix bicarb and sea salt in boiled lukewarm water and squirt up the nose twice a day.Works wonders and clears out any gunge and infection.
Far superior and way cheaper than the rip off priced nasal sprays widely available.
