Yesterday, I was driving on M60 CW near Sharston, and then (just after A34) left M60 to join M56 (through some link road) between M56 J3A and J4.

This when my Waze start to blink furiously about an "Average Speed Camera" zone, and a 50mph limit. However, I can't see any temp speed signs, nor any cameras.

Later on, I did find High England's website mentioning roadwork there between March and September this year. So has that all finished now? Is it just a case of Waze not being updated yet.

Not these old "advisory 50's" signs that are/were put up a few years ago following a few accidents causing the beep ?

The only permanent specs are 24-25 cw after a few fatal accidents/deaths occurred. (Apart from all the new smart motorway bits).

No, I saw these, but obviously they are not speed limit, and yet my Waze is saying that stretch of road's speed limit is 50.

I know that it WAS 50 mph speed limit (with average speed camera) between March and September due to road work, but i saw nothing yesterday, so just wondering if the road work has finished, camera taken down, all back to normal.

If that's the case, then Waze needs to update the speed limit for that stretch (and try not to give me a heart attack next time I am going through there).

Hurrah
I and others I know routinely notify those apps of locations that don’t have cameras. Seems it works. Lots of motorways have camera alarms where there has never been a camera.

Yes, the roadworks have finished and the 50 limit and average cameras removed. They replaced the entire armco IIRC.

Not quite finished in the other direction though.

This afternoon about 4 pm there were "temporary" roundels with the 50 mph limits (at about 4:02 pm there were not as they were on the back of my truck) on as there have been some remedial works going on the last few day since the "roadworks finished". Wasn't on shift when they went on but think it was around 4pm Thursday.

Cameras are off though (errrrm, according to my in vehicle software I should add........Waze will be picking up Westbound deset for the 50 limit last Sunday) if you are going Stocky Westwards, limit still in place Eastwards.
