Love my TVR ....
Discussion
Truly, madly, deeply and although I shall be selling it I shall be buying another and another and another until something totally unapparent currently prevents me from buying.
Love 'em to bits.
50,000 miles and it has let me down less than so called more reliable brands.
Goes very well.
Handles like a dream.
Roof comes off.
Love driving it.
Love the noise.
Had enough of all these whinging buggers...done a lot of work to get the car to run like it does.
Bought firmly with heart....stuff the head, the finances and the occasional sinking feelings. When their right there is nothing that beats them.
Enjoy 'em boys and girls and if you're going I'll see you at VW on Sunday where we can praise them some more

Hey Jono,
What about a photo in your profile ?? You seem to have spent a lot of time getting it right.

Cheers

Paris Blue Chimaera looks very similar to my S reg - which I paid more than 5K less (16k miles) . .

Er - when it says 4.5 special edition, owned by TVR since new does that mean it is an AJP engined car?

Now that looks great, quick go give them some money!
Its very tempting.
A real 4.5 that has been looked after by the factory for all its life in Black....said to be the best Griffith of the bunch.
4.5 engine seems to have the least number of issues. Should have been sorted when issues etc etc.
I would just like to know how it has racked up 27,000 miles. I also think its priced a little richly....

I can see the new dash and bits and bobs on it now.
Slightly lowered on its Nitron dampers and the brake upgrade looks superb...
Then onto the engine and with that 4.5 we would have to look for some more torque and help its already free revving nature to be developed.
JEL triple throttle body just on and new cam ........
Should also have the T5 box aswell....
Oh sir, change your pants sir ? , yes sir !

Took mine out for the first time in a long while yesterday, and was gobsmacked by how quick it was (decatted 500 Chimaera), and how addictive that V8 howl can be!
No matter what the the speed, sit there in 5th and caress the pedal - the amount you get pushed back into the seat seems directly proportional to the depression of the loud pedal!
Nitrons are a bit loud (they sound like someones grandad whose mouth doesn't fit his falsies any more - whistle whistle!) but work impresively well - its very stable on bumpy roads now. The steering wheel still kicks and writhes, but the car doesn't follow suit. Impressive.
Yes, I love that car!
