Used car under £5000 with high driving position?

Hi, I’m new here and hoping to get some help narrowing down my next car purchase.
My last 2 cars have been diesel RAV4s but I no longer do the mileage for a diesel so need to switch back to a petrol engine. I’m looking for something with a high driving position, 5 doors & good visibility, reliability & economical to repair.
I know absolutely nothing about cars really but figure I might get more for my money if I looked at other options rather than another Rav, perhaps a car as opposed to an SUV.
Has anyone got any suggestions?
