GM has announced its prices for the Corvette. The coupé will cost a chunky £45,850, and the cabriolet, £51,850.

GM boss Bob Lutz announced plans last November (see story link below) to launch the Corvette (top right) into the UK. The new 400hp Corvette houses a 6-litre V8 generating 400lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm for a 0-60 of 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 186mph.

The first Cadillac and Corvette showroom, at a prestigious site on Park Lane, was officially opened last year, while Corvette dealer Stratstone is expanding into Birmingham, Cardiff and Manchester shortly, with Edinburgh and Leeds dealers due over the next year.

45k Priced at a Premium? - looks an absolute bargain to me - if only residuals were better and you could have chrome wheel delete option.
Could be the best s/h performance buy, in a couple of years.
Any one know about economy? I've heard it's much improved.
