My wife has leased a black edition of the A6. It looks to be one of the last of the old shape around. It has been at a local Audi dealer for the past two weeks or so, but we haven't been able to get our hands on it. Apparently it's waiting for a software update due 11th to 18th December prior to being released. I can only assume this is something emission related.

Anyone else experiencing anything similar at the moment? I ask as I have a deep mistrust of car manufacturers and their abilities to deliver on dates. It's linked to her current BMW being returned too.

Anyone else being made to wait for software updates? Car was due to have been updated and delivered between 13th and 18th. Today they tell us an update has been released for certain chassis numbers, but not ours. There is talk of a loan car until it's sorted, but that hasn't been sorted yet.

Not the best start to Audi ownership. I have mentioned a few times that she shouldn't have bought a BMW 5 series instead. I don't think I should mention it to her again wink

Yes, very common. Lots of models from lots of manufacturers suffering delays pending WLTP compliance.

The problem being that everyone wants it now and there are only so many engineers to certify each model and specification.
