Any cons to buying a used car with new registration pending?

A car I'm viewing has a private plate that is shortly due to be removed, and is waiting for a new registration. Is there any cons to this, or anything to watch out for?

After owning a car with a weird overseas registration, and the associated hassle when buying parts etc, I want to go straight down the line this time, so I'm cautious there are no cons to this purchase method.

There'll be no real issues as long as you wait for the Log book to come with all the correct details before buying.
