No, no, no, no and no.
Don't go anywhere near "touch-up" paint. It's not your car, get it done properly.

Obviously you wouldn't just do it, but if it was old car that the owner didn't really care too much about they might let you get away with that.
We've had old cars in the past with little marks like that, my sister's first car was similar.. Only a cheap runaround but I managed to improve a lot of these kind of marks with some OEM paint sprayed into a can then applied to the dots where it'd gone through the paint, then a machine cut and polish over the whole area to 'blend' it together, made a bit improvement for very little cost.

If she takes it to a bodyshop, theres two panels to be painted there so i'd say £350-400.
You might want to guide her down the smart repair route but i'd say she'll just go to her local bodyshop unless you can dissuade her.
she had gone to a body shop and was quoted £300 and since she was unwilling to go the smart repair way I had to fork it outYou might want to guide her down the smart repair route but i'd say she'll just go to her local bodyshop unless you can dissuade her.

I'd have been budgeting the £350-400 and thus quite pleased i got away with £300.
