I have a late 60's (I think) one I inherited I will photograph soon, I love this era, they are well made by the look a feel of them - are these hidden gems, or are are they just not that desirable.

For god sake, sssshhhh.
Enicar are one of the few watches on ebay that aren't horribly overpriced. Tell everyone and you'll soon ruin that.

Do like the look of some I've looked at on Chrono24, but I try and avoid the whole 'vintage watch' thing for fear of being ripped off. It appears to be a mindfield of fakes and redone dials together with swapped movements and 'Frankenwatches'.

The Sherpas do look cool, mind. smile

Congratulations! I am sorry for your loss.
Erm, should that be, "I am sorry for your gain"? Rather than "Yay, dead relative!" Which I do not and did not mean.
Inheriting is bitter sweet. Nice to have something to trigger memories of that person, crud to have to lose them in the first place.
Cough.

Good mid-quality brand, interesting history with its roots in the Racine family (Enicar is Racine backwards to avoid another branch's trademark), who were involved in horology since the early 18th C, and - as said above - very reasonably valued because they're below most people's radar.
