This just happened to me. I was driving down a dual carriage way in the outside lane doing about 70mph about to overtake two trucks. The rear truck pulls out to over take the one in front, first truck doing 60mph second doing 61mph, so basically blocking both lanes.

I ease off the throttle and slow to 61mph and wait for them to complete their maneuver leaving more than adequate braking distance. Modern BMW drives up behind me in the outside lane then untertakes me and pops back into the outside lane in front of me and sits 2 foot of the rear of the truck.

And that achieved exactly what.

I must admit the jeuvenile in me took over so when the truck pulled in I nailed it, I was all over him till ..cough ahem cough cough when I let him go as I value my licence to much

No coincidence. It's widely known that BMW drivers generally drive like tw@ts, never use the indicators, cut you up, are middle lane morons, tailgaters and never let you out of a side road.

How do I know all this, well from the bastion of knowledge that is Bruciebabe.

Mind you he also said that smoking is inversely proportionate to intelligence and education and makes you look like a chav

Cotty, I know it's nice to have a rant about bad driving and 9 out of 10 for good smilie use, but 1 out of 10 for rising to the bait. What's the point? The guy is a tt and always will be. Better to arrive chilled, rather than shaken and stirred.

My little episode happened in daylight, it was the same colour blue as petrolteds Alpina but i would not have been able to keep up with that.

I usually let them go, its their licence but I have not been driving my car a lot recently and it was a good excuse to blow the cobwebs out. It always feels better after a good run.

I don't think anywhere he has actually said he was breaking the speed limit.

May have given that impression, but no admission of an actual law-breaking speed.

I'd just like to point out (as a BMW driver), that I usually finder porker drivers to be the worst.

They speed ridiculously. (I was cruising away at 75mph and had one shoot past me so quickly, it felt like I was doing 75 in reverse).
They cut people up all the time.
They slide across the lanes as if there were no other cars and they drive up your backside like they were attached by a tow bar to your car.

Yes. Porkers are bad.

But come to think of it, so are Ford, most 4x4's, Lotus's, Mercs, VW's, and pretty much any other car manufacturer.......

Beanbag, you've obviously not learnt that Porsche drivers DO own the road and do not put up with chavs in BMWs or other lowlife in cheap and awful cars getting in our way. It is after all the porsche highway!!!!
JMGS4, porsche driver, no we don't all drive like twunts!

So you should either have spotted what the BMW driver was planning to do and closed the gap thus removing the opportunity or left him to go about his sad life. No point in getting cross once he's in front of you. One brake test and you're guilty of crashing into him.

Commuting down the A404 from Wycombe to Bisham I often play 'close the door on the impatient pillock'. Sit in lane 2 in the queue and watch in the mirror for when cars nip into lane one for a quick hop and a skip past a few cars. Close the door on them when they think the gap in front of you is for the taking. I even drop back and lure them in for the closure sometimes. Well it keeps me entertained anyway... (all this is at 2-5mph btw).

funny enough just before the truck/bwm incident I was passed very quickly by a modern Porche 911 being chased by an old Aston Martin, did make me smile

So perhaps there is a substitute, an old Aston

Exactly.

I must be the spawn of the devil having owned 2 BMWs and now drive a Porsche.

Does my driving style or attitude change when I'm in my 205. Does it bs.

Take a bad driver out of a BMW, put him in a Metro and he's still a tt.

I thought this was Piston Heads not Bandwagon Heads
