Anyone work for Amazon Flex here? (Using your own car & time to deliver parcels). I've some time on my hands over the next few weeks & thinking of signing up.

Problem - I only have a domestic car policy. I've seen some online Q&A (indeed.co.uk) which give conflicting advice - some say Amazon Flex will cover me under it's own policy & some say I need to sort my own.

Can anyone offer a definitive answer? I should say, it would be in the UK.

Thanks in advance. CF

You would have to speak to your insurer to see what they think of you using your car for hire or reward, regardless of amazon's policy.

You'd need a minimum of business cover on the policy, and probably an enhanced level of cover, assuming it is offered at all.

Should've perhaps phrased it better : my provider (Hastings) won't let me add it onto my existing policy.

My wife joined up for Flex this time last year. Absolutely nothing until May, by which time she had something sorted anyway. I was a little relieved - I was not certain that a V8 Range Rover was the best vehicle for the job..

As far as I recall Amazon carried insurance which covered the vehicle from leaving the depot to the last drop.
